I had a great time recently shooting a range of gritty, urban branding photography against the graffiti on the streets of Leeds.
Andrew got in touch looking for a range of portrait and lifestyle images to help launch his new videography business Dutch Angle Pictures. Andrew specialises in shooting music videos and I was briefed with shooting images that were urban, concrete and a little edgy.
Urban Branding Photography Playing with Angles, Geometric Patterns, Light and Shade
We met up in Leeds city centre and had a fantastic time creating a range of bold portraits and lifestyle images. The great thing about urban branding photography is it gives you the opportunity to play with a more edgy look. I worked on combining brick, concrete, graffiti and street art with harsh angles, light and shade to create a range of visually striking images.

The resulting images really complement the style of videos he produces and gave him a really strong, coherent visual brand to launch his company with. I even threw in a few dutch angle portraits – it doesn’t get more on brand then that!
