Zoë Eady is a Glass Artist based in Leeds. In her studio, The Glass Garden, she creates her Stained Glass artwork using both traditional and modern techniques. The majority of her works are large decorative panels commissioned for peoples homes.
Zoë invited me along to spend a few hours with her in the studio to shoot her at work. I had a great time learning about the various stages of her process as well as finding all about the commissions she’s currently working on.
Her studio is a veritable treasure trove absolutely full of beautiful little details that give a real insight into her personal workspace.
“Simon came to the project with a keen eye for the little details that make The Glass Garden a magical place to work. He brought a sensitivity to the work that perfectly reflects the environment. Exactly what I was hoping to achieve.”

Klick Technology are a provider of furniture and refurbishment services across education, industrial and healthcare. I was commissioned to photograph one of their flagship projects – a number of recently refurbished laboratories and preparation rooms at York University.
Working together to achieve great results
I had a number of conversations with the client about their specific requirements as well as reviewing photographs of the various rooms at different stages of refurbishment to get an understanding of the spaces we were working with. I spent time with the client getting under the skin of their business and gaining insight into which details of the rooms best showcased their services. This insight allowed me to work quickly and efficiently to achieve great results that delivered on the goals of the shoot.
“Simon was helpful from the start, making suggestions about the look of the photos so I would get the best use out of them for the website and other marketing material. He was organised, punctual and very prompt in replying to emails etc. The proofs look great and I would highly recommend him.”

Hill Engineering is a global exporter & manufacturer of award winning excavator attachments and commissioned me for an industrial shoot on-site at Brotherton Quarry to showcase new attachments in action.
I spent time discussing the products to gain a clear understanding of which pieces of equipment were to be the focus of the shoot, together with the unique features and benefits of each. By placing myself directly in the action I was able to showcase the products in real use for maximum effect.
“Cracking shots! Thanks again.”
