I’m honored to have been entrusted by Changing Faces to film their 2024 Christmas appeal in partnership with The Big Give, launching today.
Supporting People Affected by Visible Difference
Did you know that nearly 1 in 5 children and adults in the UK live with a visible difference? Sadly, many of them don’t receive the support they need. Changing Faces plays a crucial role in providing life-changing mental health and emotional wellbeing services while working tirelessly to combat prejudice and stigma. Their work truly makes a difference, especially during the Christmas season when feelings of isolation can be amplified.
Telling Lucy and Lola’s Story

This year’s campaign focuses on the heartwarming story of Lola, a three-year-old girl with a hemangioma—commonly known as a strawberry birthmark—on her left cheek and chin. For families like Lola’s, Christmas can be bittersweet. Increased social gatherings often lead to more stares and unkind comments, which can dampen the festive spirit.
Behind the Scenes: Filming for the Appeal

It was a real treat to meet both Lucy and Lola. Lola was excited to show me her own camera (In the photo above we’re taking a photo of each other) Hers admittedly is much cooler than mine!
“Thanks to charities like Changing Faces there is so much more hope for a better future for children like Lola.”
