BBC1 Yorkshire appearance discussing ’47 / A Life With Cystic Fibrosis’

On the BBC1 Yorkshire Look North sofa

Last night I had the fantastic opportunity to appear as a guest on BBC1 Yorkshire’s Look North to talk about my book project 47 / A Life With Cystic Fibrosis as well as cystic fibrosis in general.

As well as chatting on the sofa they also filmed a short VT of my wife and I at home with our son Ellis, highlighting some of the day to day routine treatments that living with CF requires.

Available now – 47 / A Life With Cystic Fibrosis: New photography book explores the reality of living with cystic fibrosis.

THANK YOU!

The Kickstarter campaign for my upcoming book ’47 / A Life With Cystic Fibrosis’ has now ended and I’ve been absolutely blown away by the response. A huge thank you to everyone who helped to make this happen.

What inspires you to shoot?

Photography of child playing

I love to shoot all kinds of photography given the opportunity. Since I was a kid, back in my bedroom darkroom I’ve always been fascinated by the concept of capturing a moment in time in a fraction of a second. Since becoming a parent I’ve found my main inspiration to shoot has been to try and capture those moments that pass so quickly as well as I can.

For the last 8 months I’ve been working on a personal photography project called ’47 / A Life With Cystic Fibrosis’ – a series of intimate portraits of people living with CF and offers an insight into their attitudes to life and their condition up to and beyond the median predicted survival rate of 47.

Shooting a person’s craft – Zoë Eady, Glass Artist

The Glass Garden 3539

Zoë Eady is a Glass Artist based in Leeds. In her studio, The Glass Garden, she creates her Stained Glass artwork using both traditional and modern techniques. The majority of her works are large decorative panels commissioned for peoples homes.

Zoë invited me along to spend a few hours with her in the studio to shoot her at work. I had a great time learning about the various stages of her process as well as finding all about the commissions she’s currently working on.
