A couple of months ago I was asked to shoot trade event photography for a wine tasting event at Ibérica in Leeds.
Wines from Spain invited the Yorkshire trade and press to taste around 200 Spanish wines from a variety of styles and regions. The event had a walk-round tasting in the main restaurant space based around four themed tasting tables as well as Spanish wine masterclasses held on the first floor. It was a busy event with lots happening so it was a dream to shoot.

Trade Event Photography Requirements
I was commissioned by Otaria Communications, a London-based communications agency who specialise in the UK wine and spirit industry. My brief for the trade event photography was to capture images of every aspect of the event including the venue, set up and event signage. My main focus was on capturing the feel of the event including guest tasting and interactions between guests and hosts etc.

I also documented a number of Spanish wine masterclasses that took place on the first floor of the venue as part of the event.

I love shooting this kind of event. I like to mingle among the guests and my approach to event photography is always to capture natural images that make you feel like you were in attendance.

“Thank you so much. The Ibérica setting and tapas lent a great vibe to the event and you have definitely captured the atmosphere on the day really well.”
