I recently had the pleasure of working with Winvic Construction at UKREiiF – the UK’s Real Estate Investment and Infrastructure Forum, held in Leeds capturing hybrid event photography and videography.
UKREiiF is a major industry event brings together key players in the built environment sector, including developers, investors, local authorities, and planners, for three days of panels, networking, and thought leadership. Winvic and Jennie Holland PR were hosting an outdoor pavilion, serving as a base for meetings and speaker sessions. My brief was to document the full scope of their presence – combining event photography and videography in a hybrid role.
Real-Time Content Creation
One of the key elements of this job was the fast turnaround of images to support Winvic’s live social media coverage. With multiple speaker panels scheduled across the event, I was tasked with capturing high-quality images of each session and editing and delivering selects within hours while the event was still in full swing.

This tight timeline meant building an efficient workflow on the ground, editing galleries between sessions, prioritising shots and delivering optimised images for quick publishing by the PR team.
These fast-delivery assets enabled Winvic to post polished, professional content across LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram while the event was happening – a key part of their wider communications strategy.
Hybrid Event Photography and Videography Coverage
Balancing stills and video coverage is always a logistical challenge, especially across multi-day events. At UKREiiF, I was responsible for producing a highlights video as well as delivering curated galleries of photography. Working solo, this meant carefully planning the flow of each day to ensure nothing was missed, and switching between roles on the fly.

Because my primarily role was to shoot stills, speed and efficiency were really important. I didn’t have the luxury of stopping to change settings or reconfigure gear every time something happened. So to make that possible, I was running two camera bodies throughout the event. One optimised for stills and one for video.
Having both setups ready to go meant I could quickly switch between them without fiddling with settings or wasting time swapping lenses. It’s a fast-paced environment, and this workflow lets me stay in the moment and keep moving.

“It was such a pleasure to work with Simon and I would totally recommend him for any events photography and videography in future. Naturally, the event was fast paced event which required being agile while on-the-ground throughout multiple sessions over the three days. We had edited imagery back quickly which allowed us to brand and post our content for the client throughout the day.
Simon was incredibly professional and flexible throughout, from the briefing process to the event and working alongside him was both a seamless and fun experience – thank you!”

Final Event Highlights Video Production
Taking the B-Roll coverage shot during the event, I produced the following highlights film capturing the energy and professionalism of Winvic’s presence at UKREiiF – from panel sessions and networking to wider event context.
Behind-the-Scenes on YouTube
I also captured a BTS video from this job for my new YouTube channel, offering a behind-the-scenes look at what hybrid event photography and videography coverage actually involves – including:
- An intro to the brief
- Chest-mounted POV footage during the event
- Commentary on juggling two roles, kit choices, and managing fast-turnaround delivery

Wrapping Up
UKREiiF was a rewarding and fast-paced job that showcased the value of integrated photography and video coverage – especially when paired with real-time content delivery.
